We provide a supportive home-like atmosphere where volunteers and community partners work together to provide activities, resources, and interaction with the community. Westwinds Communities partners with Provincial and Municipal governments to provide housing accommodation to 196 senior households in the following locations:

High Country Lodge, Black Diamond
Sandstone Lodge, Okotoks

We want to help you find safe, quality housing that you can afford in the community you want to live in. Since the 1980’s, the Westwinds Communities has administered a range of low income seniors housing in partnership with the Government of Alberta across the Foothills Region. The facilities are property managed by Westwinds Communities are:
Soderberg House, High River
Spitzee House, High River
Glen Mead Park, Black Diamond
Sheep River House, Okotoks
Valley Villa, Turner Valley
Residents throughout the Foothills region of Southern Alberta rely on Westwinds Communities to provide housing and supportive services for seniors, and housing options for individuals and families needing subsidized and affordable housing and services.
Over the past fifty-five years, more than 12,000 households have benefited from our programs and services. As a leader in quality public housing, we strive to offer affordable housing choices in urban and rural communities while creating homes that maintain personal independence and keep people engaged and contributing to their communities.
